After the release of the trailer, there is a lot of buzz on social media about the movie, and people and high expectations from Akshay Kumar. In this article of Updatevilla, we will list the good, bad, and storyline of the movie.
The film gets criticized for multiple reasons such as visual effects and the storyline. Ram Setu is one of the topics which needs a lot of research to present on the screen, the movie lacks to bring the details that were expected by the audience. Movies like Kartikeya 2 did splendid work to showcase beliefs and more.
Ram Setu Storyline
Abhishek Sharma penned the storyline as well as directed the movie, which revolves around the Ram Setu also known as Adams Bridge. Businessman Indrakant combined with the government wanted to break down Ram Setu to make a clear way for their ships. Indrakant has appointed Akshay Kumar(Archeologist) and a team to go for research on Ram Setu. Indrakant always wanted that Akshay Kumar as Aryan should make a report in favor of him so that he can break the Ram Setu.
Mean While Akshay Kumar and his team find Ram Setu was originally created by the god Ram. Indrakant sends his goons to catch or kill Aryan and his team. Aryan and his team went to Srilanka to find evidence for the existence of Ravan so that he can prove Ram Setu is an art by God Ram. This is a short summarised story with a lot to chronicle twists and turns in between.
Ram Setu Movie Review
The movie has a great start or a build-up but while progressing it becomes slow and continuously loses its grip from the movie. There are multiple characters in the movie but none of them are justified. The flat role or character of Akshay Kumar as Aaryan (Archeologist) has no specialty or emotion, there is a strong feeling the cast can be better. The character of Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushratt Bahruccha is only for screen presence, nothing can be withdrawn from their characters.
The storyline of the movie is based on Ram Setu but we didn’t see a single picture of God Ram in the movie. Gradually the movie tends toward political and religious beliefs. The action scenes are no less than shits, In one of the scenes Helicopter crashers still, everyone is safe and nothing happened. The movie feels more like narration rather than execution on screen. Akshay Kumar continues to disappoint the audience in every other movie. A few things should be praised about the movie one is the background music and another one is the performance and the character of Satya Dev who holds the movie single-handedly.
