According to the media of Arab countries, the marvel movie Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the lead character didn’t get a distribution certificate. The movie will be released on 6th May 2022 in the United States. The news says because of a gay character present in the movie, it gets banned in Arab countries.

According to the comics, the character America Chavez(played by Xochitl Gomez) is gay in comics. The actual reason the gulf or Arab countries do not promote LGBTQ-based content and do not provide distribution or censor certificates. Earlier the Marvel movie ‘The Eternals’ also gets banned in Saudi Arabia because the movie shows the same gender love romance. So the movie gets banned in Saudi Arabia.
